BRITNEY SPEARS has reclaimed her crown as pop princess after picking up three awards at last night’s MTV Video Music Awards.
The troubled singer showed the world her life is well and truly back on track when she opened the show to a standing ovation.
Wearing a silver Versace dress, the singer looked slim, relaxed and happy as she wished the ceremony a happy 25th birthday before strutting off the stage.
But it wasn’t long before she was in the spotlight again picking up no less than three gongs for her 2007 hit Piece Of Me.
And Brit’s former rival and Mousekateer buddy, CHRISTINA AGUILERA was also on fine form just eight months after becoming a first-time mum.
In her first performance since having her son, MAX, the blonde bombshell showed off her new X-Men-style look and disco sound.
Wearing black leather and a black eye mask, the singer, who will perform in Dubai next month, stunned with new single Keeps Getting Better.
Other performers, like PINK, T.I and the JONAS BROTHERS used the VMAs' Paramount Pictures site to launch into tunes from the studio's backlot.
And the night was full of live collaborations - KID ROCK performed his summer anthem All Summer Long with LIL WAYNE, while RIHANNA and T.I. teamed up and LEONA LEWIS tackled the Animals' Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood with Lil Wayne.
KANYE WEST brought the climax to the show a year after insisting he'd never return to the event after his treatment at the 2007 VMAs in Las Vegas. For all the winners check out AhlanLive.com’s picture gallery hereFor daily celebrity news updates sign up to our newsletter www.ahlanlive.com/newsletter
