Karama Kanteen
Karama Kanteen, a Volunteer in UAE initiative, is aiming to brighten the lives of labourers this Ramadan by preparing and distributing Iftar meals to 54,000 men across the UAE. The initiative will see the meals handed out at labour camps in Sharjah, Al Quoz and Sonapur over the Holy Month.
They need individuals and firms to sponsor the meals they will cook and distribute. But the great thing is, you can see exactly how you have helped. By sponsoring a meal you have the chance to help cook the food in the kitchens plus help hand out your meal in a labour camp. Each meal includes chicken biryani, a water goblet, dates, a laban drink and a dessert. Each voucher, which costs just Dhs32, goes towards Iftar meals for two labourers.
The scheme is run in partnership with City Chef Catering and Companies or individuals can get involved by sponsoring a meal at
