Budding fashion designers, listen up. Queen of the catwalk, Stella McCartney, wants to pay your tuition fees. If you’re talented enough to get into London’s Central Saint Martin’s that is. Speaking at the college’s graduation ceremony, where she received an Honorary Fellowship, Stella described her own time as a student at Central Saint Martin’s as “life-changing” adding, “To get to a college like this is so hard for so many talented young people. For that reason, I am setting up this scholarship and I encourage other fortunate fashion houses to do the same.” But there are rules if Stella’s footing the hefty bill. Students who win the scholarship will commit to not use any products that harm animals as part of their work. Fair enough, we say. Well done, Stel.
