We’re super excited about all the glam entertainment and activities lined up for The Dubai World Championship from 8 to 11 December, 2011 at Jumeirah Golf Estates. The golfing competition will be fierce, of course, with the top 60 players on The European Tour fighting it out on the famous Earth course in the final event of The Race to Dubai. But aside from the sporting action on the course, there’s lots more on the cards!
Rock band Suburban Voodoo and premier party band The Maplejacks are both set to get the crowds rocking; renowned artist David Edwards will have his trick shots ready to amaze; there are complimentary golf lessons from professional instructors (we’re definitely getting those!), simulators, ShortGolf (a cool playground for kids with oversized clubs and soft balls) and chill-out zones to kick back and relax. We totally see ourselves hanging out at The Championship Village checking out the action on a giant screen, while chillaxing in bean bags and hammocks! And before you ask the most important question regarding any sporting social event, our answer is: designer flip-flops or wedges with a chic day-to-night maxi dress (you were going to ask what the Ahlan! girls were going to wear to the event, right?).
INFO: There will be a shuttle bus service and taxi pickup throughout each day to and from the venue, with drop-offs every afternoon to Arabian Ranches, Barasti, Bidi Bondi, Green Community, Ibn Battuta Gate Metro, Motor City, Nasimi Beach and Wafi.
