There was major Girl Power in the MTV Video Music Awards and we're all for it
MTV VMAs? More like ladies night as pop-queens Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande secured multiple awards along with Billie Eilish, Cardi B and Missy Elliot.
Ariana was the night's big winner, as she picked up a whopping number of four awards, including Artist of the Year, and Song of the Summer with her single 'Boyfriend' in collaboration with Social House.
Taylor didn't fall short of awards either after she kicked off the award show with a staggering performance of 'You Need to Calm Down', followed by the first ever stage performance of her new song 'Lover.' Swift secured two of the biggest honours, winning the awards for both Video of the Year and Video For Good.
The girl power streak didn't stop there, as Billie Eilish took home three awards. Though she wasn't able to attend the show due to her tour schedules, she still managed to collect her awards for Best New Artist, Push Artist of the Year, and Best Editing for her Bad Guy music video (which btw, she edited herself).
The only male multiple awards holder were Kpop boy-group BTS, who secured their spot for the Best Group and Best K-Pop song with Halsey for 'Boy With Luv'.
