Gigi Hadid collaborates with Stuart Weitzman yet again

Back in 2016, supermodel Gigi Hadid and shoe designer Stuart Weitzman teamed up to create a shoe together. The heeled ankle boot sold at a retail price of around $565 (Dhs2,076) to $595 (Dhs2,185) and did very well.

Fast forward to 2017 and the collaboration is happening again, this time for a line of stylish flat mules.

Gigi says we should pair the shoes with a “really simple but feminine sock,” or “you could do it with cropped jeans, a long sweater dress —really anything.” Okay!

Ranging in a variety of different colors from navy blue, brown and grey, there are two types of mules that have been introduced:

- Eyelove, which is a $498 (Dhs1,829) mule with a single eye on the top, available in deep indigo and tan color.
- Eyelovemore, a $598 (Dhs2,196) mule which has been decorated with several eyes on it, and is available in grey color.

What is REALLY lovely is the story behind the collaboration and the reason why Gigi is designing shoes.

The proceeds from the sale of these comfy mules plus Stuart Weitzman’s pledge of $105,000 (DhsXXX) will go to Pencils of Promise, a non-profit organization that helps build schools and increases educational opportunities for children living in under-developed countries.

The aim with this collaboration is to build three schools in Ghana, Laos and Guatemala, hence the bright, fun color options for the shoes.

We love you even more now, Gigi.
