Get Ready for a Hiking Trip in Six Weeks

Q I’ve spent 11 months sitting at my desk and I’ve now agreed to go on a hiking trip in six weeks. Help! Michelle, 27

A. Six weeks is the perfect amount of time to prepare yourself. Build up your muscles by doing a circuit of overhead squats, lat pull downs, pull ups, pushups, a plank, plyometric lunges and plyometric squats. Perform each exercise for one minute with limited rest stops to test your endurance, stamina and fitness. Aim for three rounds at first and then build up to five. – OMAR
