What is it?
Market Outside The Box is the hottest new shopping concept to hit the UAE. Following the likes of London’s trendy shopping area Shoreditch, MOTB will use refurbished containers to create pop-up shops for independent, local designers and stores. It’s unlike anything we’ve seen before in the UAE and we’re super excited about it. Here’s our guide on what to expect!
30 local and independent designers will be selling products around the market. Each brand will create their very own pop-up store within the container, bringing you the best bits from their latest collections. We reveal some of the brands to look out for:
Poupée Couture - Ahlan! first discovered Poupée Couture in The Garden at last year’s Fashion Forward and we love their designs! Specialising in handbags and accessories, their stand-out pieces are a great way to brighten up any outfit.
Fashlink - Fashlink’s online store is a huge hit in the UAE, but with their pop-up store you can take items home with you straight away! At Fashlink you’ll find unusual pieces from unique designers. Items are sourced from both regional designers and worldwide brands. You’ll also find one-off vintage pieces from high-end labels such as Chanel.
Comptoir 102 - Comptoir 102 is one of Dubai’s coolest lifestyle and shopping destinations and now they're bringing the experience to MOTB! Expect to find handmade accessories, as well as quirky homewares. You’ll find pieces here that you won’t get anywhere else in the region.
Mochi - Mochi uses unusual textiles, prints and embroidery to create quirky clothes and accessories. Each piece is handcrafted by local artisans and is completely one-of-a-kind – so you won’t be turning up to parties wearing the same dress as anyone else in these!
