George Clooney Joins Downton Abbey for Charity Episode
Downton Abbey fans hold your breath, this news might just make your day!
George Clooney will play a supporting role in a Downton Abbey sketch, as reported by the Mirror. The Hollywood A-lister, who is allegedly getting married to his fiancé Amal Alamuddin in a civil wedding in London today, will play an American wedding guest at the Crawley pile, featuring in scenes for a Santa Charity special. What a funny coincidence. Seems like Clooney's current life revolves all around tying the knot, on and off-screen.
A source tells Britain's The Sun newspaper, "This is the biggest moment in Downton history and shows it's now the biggest drama in the world. All the plans have been shrouded in secrecy because George was determined for his role not to leak out... George and Hugh (Bonneville) became really close filming the movie (The Monuments Men)... so Hugh put the wheels in motion to make it (the Downton Abbey appearance) happen."
The ER actor has already finalized his cameo for the special sketch, starring alongside Michelle Dockery and Hugh Bonneville.
We can't wait to see the sketch, especially if its for a good cause and with George in it, we wouldn't miss it anyway.
