Singer-songwriter Gavin DeGraw has been released from
hospital following the vicious attack on him in New York on Monday (8 August 2011).
The Chariot singer suffered concussion and a broken nose after the bashing by a gang of thugs following a night out with friends at the East
Village bar he co-owns with his brother Joey. Gavin had played a gig with Maroon 5 and Train earlier that
evening.

In a tweet to fans yesterday (9 August), Gavin revealed
that he has little memory of what happened: “I don't remember much. I only know I can recover from here," he
wrote. “Thank u all for your genuine concern. I love u guys.”

In a post on his Twitter page, Maroon 5 frontman Adam
Levine wrote: “Please send your love to @gavindegraw tonight. We love you
buddy. Get well and get back out here!”
Gavin had pulled out of last night’s planned concert with Maroon 5 in
Saratoga Springs, New York and is expected to miss more shows this weekend.
