Game of Thrones Star Blasts Cara Delevingne!
Former Game of Thrones hunk Richard Madden has issued a career warning to model-turned-actress Cara Delevingne after she snapped at US TV hosts during a now-infamous interview earlier this summer.
The usually-energetic runway beauty hit headlines in July (15) when she appeared via satellite on Good Day Sacramento and appeared to answer questions about her movie Paper Towns in a tired and sarcastic manner.
The interview got off to a bad start when one of the reporters carelessly introduced Delevingne as "Carla", and when she was asked if she had read the Paper Towns novel, Delevingne replied: "No, I never read the book, or the script actually. I kind of winged it... no, of course, I love the book."
A male co-presenter later took Delevingne to task over her apparent attitude and the chat was cut short after the female anchor added: "You seem a bit irritated, perhaps it's just us", to which the Brit fired back, "Yeah, I think it's just you."
The model later blamed the awkward exchange on a cultural divide, stating: "Some people just don't understand sarcasm or the British sense of humour." Fans were split over the controversy, but now Madden has advised the 23-year-old to rethink her approach to promotional interviews if she plans to build on her acting resume.
The fellow Brit tells Eonline.com: "It was unprofessional. It made her seem ungrateful. She showed her age. For Cinderella, I did six weeks of those interviews, where you get asked the same eight questions. If you're not capable of doing it gracefully, then don't do it."
