Don’t miss the Welsh rarebit. This hearty snack is toast topped with a seasoned mixture of egg and cheese, simple but oh so good! Like Fortnum & Mason’s Scotch egg, it’s made from a recipe that dates back to the 1700s.

The decor is divine. Inspired by the Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon at its flagship Piccadilly store, the interior imitates a Georgian drawing room, painted duck-egg blue with accents of silver and gold and featuring an elegant banquette. 

Stop by for ice cream. There’s a multitude of flavours, ranging from classics such as strawberry and pistachio to salted caramel, white chocolate, Welsh honeycomb and Florentine. They’re all made in London but churned in Dubai. 

Try the Royal Blend. This favourite is just one of many teas and infusions on offer. If you’re more of a coffee drinker, don’t worry – you’ll still get your caffeine fix.

Every product is handmade. Small, privately owned firms supply all of the goodies – the Turkish delight’s been made by the same family for decades.
