Former Dubai teacher wows Simon Cowell
A former teacher at Wellington International School in Dubai has made it through to the next round on The X Factor, making her one of the 24 remaining contestants on the popular British reality show.
Kerrie-Anne Phillips, who moved back to the UK two months ago to persue a singing career on The X Factor, has passed the audition round earning four 'yeses' from the judges and has since been singing her way to the top.
According to 7DAYS newspaper, Kerrie was "overwhelmed that Simon Cowell gave her a yes for the boot-camp round." It did not end there, as she made it to the judges houses round where each contestant is assigned a mentor along with a celebrity judge. Kerrie was assigned Simon as her mentor and One Direction's Louis Tomlinson as the celebrity guest judge.
Simon was quite impressed with Kerrie saying: "I see something great in you that I think you don’t see you yourself yet."
Kerrie told 7Days newspaper: "I really like Simon Cowell and I know he likes hard working, down-to-earth people with a vision and in the little he’s seen of me he can see I am one of those people."
Good luck, Kerrie! Make us proud...
