It was our favourite foodie moment of 2012, so the news that Jumeirah Restaurant Week is returning has us very excited. Taking place from May 23, the event promises to be even bigger and better in its second year, with 56 restaurants worldwide taking part. With dozens of local favourites, ranging from The Ivy to the Burj Al Arab’s Junsui, taking part, the only difficulty is going to be narrowing down our reservations list. Diaries at the ready!
Discover a taste of Kerala this month courtesy of the ever chic Armani/Amal, which is offering a special menu of Malabari delicacies until May 30. Nibble on plantain and coconut cakes with flavoursome tomato chutney and king crab stir-fried with chillies, ginger and curry leaf, before sampling the region’s most famous export, traditional fish curry, and succulent lamb chops stewed with green cardamom and coconut. All that and a succulent dessert trio for Dhs400? Our mouths are watering already!
