Florence Welch Praises Dramatic Gucci
Florence Welch was "drawn to the drama" of Gucci's designs for her upcoming tour wardrobe.
The Florence + the Machine front woman has signed up the Italian fashion house to take care of her Fall wardrobe once again. The singer previously worked with the design label to create her outfits for her North American tour in 2011.
"I was immediately drawn to the drama of the [autumn/winter 2012] collection when I first saw it on the runway," Florence said to The Telegraph. "I am so grateful and feel very fortunate to be collaborating with Gucci once again."
Creative Director at the world-wide fashion giant Frida Giannini explained that the collaboration with the flame-haired star works equally well for the label as it does for Florence.
Frida revealed how they have designed Florence's costumes to be glamorous, dramatic and with a theme of modern romance running through the looks.
"Seeing Florence evolve as an artist since her last tour has been truly inspiring, and I was delighted to work with her on this new wardrobe," Frida said. "For her onstage style, we wanted to create a romantic yet modern aesthetic for Florence to interpret with her dark glamour and dramatic sensuality. I am looking forward to the show as Florence always puts an enchanting energy into every performance."
