Fifth Beat Diabetes Walkathon to Offer Sporty Family Fun

A total of 745,000 UAE residents are affected by diabetes and a walkathon to raise awareness of the the condition is planned.

On Friday 22 November hundreds of people will head to Dubai's Zabeel Park to be park of The Beat Diabetes initiative.

The 2km walkathon kicks off at 8am. After that family activities such as face painting and magic will take over the park, plus there'll be live music. A fitness challenge zone will also get everybody moving.

You can also indulge in a spot of retail therapy at a special market for diabetes-friendly products, organic foods, artisans stalls and more. The event is arranged by the Landmark Group, and every walker will also get the chance to win up to 250,000 Shukran points, the Landmark Group’s loyalty programme, as well as special gift hampers from other Landmark Group brands.

The walkathon will start from Area A, Gate 1, Zabeel Park.
