Ferrari World Opens New Roller Coaster
The famous theme park hits record highs with flying aces
Ferrari World has launched a new roller coaster called Flying Aces that’ll send thrill-seekers to new heights! Not for the faint-hearted, Flying Aces starts on a record-breaking 51-degree incline and boasts world’s tallest loop on a roller coaster, reaching a breathtaking 52 metres, giving passengers a chance to really earn their wings. But it’s not all about adrenaline highs; the Flying Aces journey starts in the queue, as the ride is themed around the history of the Ferrari logo and takes passengers back to WW1 with wartime displays. The famous ‘prancing pony’ insignia comes from the Italian Ace of Aces WW1 bi-plane pilot Count Francesco Baracca who painted his family’s coat of arms on his plane. After dying a hero in battle, Enzo Ferrari adopted the emblem for good luck.
TOP TIP: This roller coaster is best ridden on an end seat, giving you the true sensation of flying. Try not to do an ugly scream face, as your picture till be taken mid-loop so you can preserve the memory.
