A female Dubai expat went to court for attempting to pass a driving test by offering a bribe.
The 35-year-old Iranian woman wanted to offer a sum of Dhs30,000 – Dhs50,000 to the examiner in return for a couple of individuals to pass the driving test.
The examiner took swift action in informing his supervisor, who advised him to pretend like he accepted the offer, to identify other employees that she claimed to have been working with her in similar ways.
The examiner received a message on WhatsApp from the defendant, who requested to meet him at a café to collect the money.
She later cut all contact with him.
However, a case was registered at Al Qusais Police Station. While meeting him at a mall for the deal, CID officials arrested her on the spot.
The case is to be continued.
