The Bite My Music Global Independent Music Awards are the largest independent music awards in the world. I was overwhelmed.
You’re currently in the studio working on your second album – tell us more.
It’s called Nothing is Impossible and it should be out on release in March. It has a genre on there for everyone, from pop to ballad and from rock to pop punk.
Where do you get the inspiration from for your lyrics?
I write about relationships. I am Latin and we are a passionate culture, so writing about emotions and relationships comes naturally to me.
What was your career turning point?
Coming to Dubai. I arrived in 2001 on a six-month contract with a Colombian tropical band. It was the first time I’d been outside Colombia. I soon saw the opportunity to become an artiste in my own right.

The Music Room in Dubai.
