Cara Delevigne and Gigi Hadid were among the fashion elite who honoured late designer and photographer Karl Lagerfeld at a memorial in Paris, France on Thursday (20Jun19).
Chanel bosses hosted the Karl For Ever celebration at the Grand Palais, and stars of the catwalk and style pages were there to honour the legendary designer. As well as models Delevingne and Hadid, Stella McCartney, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, Francois-Henri Pinault, Claudia Schiffer, and Anna Wintour were spotted among those paying their final respects to the design guru, who lost his battle with pancreatic cancer in February.
Cara, 26, was one of the guests chosen to speak at the event and she took the stage in a fluffy pink feathered princess gown. Following his death, the Brit paid tribute to Lagerfeld, explaining he had changed her life.
Actress Helen Mirren was also among those who hit the stage - she read from Lagerfeld's memoir, A World According To Karl, accompanied by violinist Charlie Siem - and another Lagerfeld favourite, Tilda Swinton, also paid tribute to the late designer by reading an excerpt from Tarantella by Edith Sitwell.
Royalty was represented at the memorial by Princess Caroline of Hanover and Princess Stephanie of Monaco, and France's First Lady Brigitte Macron.
