Fashion Insider: Suri Cruise's New Line, M&S Makeover and Kate Moss' Still Got It
The hottest news and gossip from fashion’s front row
This week it was rumoured that Suri Cruise was planning to launch her own clothing line. Despite Katie Holmes’s publicist denying reports I’m still hoping there’s a tiny chance it’s true! I love the seven year-old’s style and she is giving Harper Beckham a run for her money in the kiddy style stakes! Suri’s wardrobe is bursting with cute designer dresses that any adult would be envious of! Wearing brands like Stella McCartney and Burberry, she always looks adorable, (even when she is having a tantrum). I really hope Katie changes her mind and lets Suri design her own clothing range! Too cute!
Viv’s Flying High! Vivienne Westwood has teamed up with Sir Richard Branson to redesign uniforms for Virgin Atlantic’s cabin crew. The iconic red uniforms are instantly recognisable and have been part of the brand since it began. Westwood, 72, will of course be keeping the colour, but she is hoping to put her own stamp on the outfits creating a futuristic look with a nod to her interest in 1940’s French couture cutting techniques, and Savile Row tailoring heritage. The first sketches look super glam and capture Westwood’s signature style. I can’t wait to see the real thing.
A Sad, Sad Day
I was saddened by the news that Missoni co-founder Ottavio Missoni died this week at the great age of 92. Ottavio did so much for the fashion world, bringing the instantly recognizable Missoni prints into our wardrobes. He will be deeply missed by all.
Kate’s Still Got It!
Kate Moss hasn’t lost it yet! She looks absolutely stunning in new images from St. Tropez’s latest campaign. Despite claims that Cara Delevingne is taking over as the world’s biggest model, seeing these images has confirmed that Kate still has what it takes, even it is seriously photoshopped. Hot stuff!
Marks & Spencer is getting a makeover, and it’s all starting with a brand new store in the UAE. The new concept store opened in Mirdif City Centre this week and is better than ever with more product choice and a relaxing store environment. The last thing you need is messy rails while you’re shopping! This is just the start for the British brand, which will be launching a new look image later this year.
Jimmy Choo co-founder Tamara Mellon has hinted that she may be returning to designing for the first time since walking away from her shoe empire in 2011. Tamara tweeted an image of her feet being measured with the caption “back in the factories!” Implying she is going to be back in fashion again. I’m predicting Jimmy Choo will soon be old news!
