FÜMÉ, PIER 7, DUBAI
No-frills dining has never tasted so good. There are no bells or whistles, so leave you affectations at the door and get ready for a chilled-out experience.
The menu is a comfort food road trip. Hearty dishes from around the world take centre stage. From pulled beef brisket to fried calamari with Thai chilli sauce. Our go-to dish is the duck and watermelon salad – and we don’t usually like duck that much!
The space is Greenwich Village loft meets Hackney hole-in-the-wall, but with impressive views. The interior of wooden floors, exposed pipes and concrete walls are industrial urban chic at its best.
Be prepared to wait. With a no reservation policy, it’s first-come-first served. If you’re planning to dine at the weekend, head there early to avoid long queues.
Don’t leave without trying the banoffee parfait. Even if you’re full, just have a taste and prepare to swoon!
Order! Order? Forget tradition, dishes here will be served as and when they’re ready, so if that means mains before your appetisers, so be it! Just as well each plate is large enough for two to share, so you can graze on this quirky culinary journey without getting overly full.
