Do you have plans to go out this Eid? The Road and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced that the metro will run for an extra hour until 1 am during the Eid break from 28-30 July.
Paid parking lots in Dubai will also be free of charge from 27 July to 1 August – with the exception of parking in the Fish Market and multi-storey parking buildings around the emirate.
Ahmad Mahboob, director of customer service at RTA was reported to have said in Gulf News that the stations on the Red Line will open from 5:30am-1am the following day and the Green Line stations will open from 5:50am-1:00am the following day for the duration of the Eid break.
Mahboob added that the customer service centres will be closed during the Eid holiday and that employees will resume work on 3 August.
Vehicle testing and registration centres will be closed from 27-30 July and will resume work on 31 July.
Public buses will continue service throughout the Eid break, with some time changes.
Main bus stations, including Gold Souq and al Ghubaiba stations will be open from around 5.10am to around 12am. Other stations, including Al Ghusais, Satwa and Al Quoz stations will be open 5.30am-11.45pm, with the exception of Route C01, which will operate around the clock.
The various Metro feeder stations, including Rashidiya, Mall of the Emirates, Ibn Battuta, Abu Hail, Etisalat and Burj Khalifa stations will be open for service from 5.15am-12.15am.
