• In 2015 I achieved three new Guinness World Records for non-stop burpees for a woman: most in one hour, most in 12 hours and most in 24 hours. I also raised over Dhs73,500 for the World Child Cancer Foundation (WCCF).
• I was awarded a bronze medal in Brazilian jiu-jitsu at World Pro and I ran the fastest marathon carrying a 20kg backpack at the London Virgin Marathon in April last year, where I raised a further Dhs43,000 for WCCF. Then, early this year, I was awarded a European blue belt by the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation champion.
• A lot of blood, sweat and tears was involved in all my past achievements, not just the countless hours of training over the months prior to each of the events, but also the years of physical and mental preparation. I thrive when I commit myself to life and living. If I get knocked down, I get back up. The never-quit attitude I have adopted has given me the mental fortitude to better myself.
• When I get to the finish line, that is life, I want to look back and know that I gave it my all and I was the best person, mum, wife, trainer and athlete that I could ever be. We are the secret to our own success. I have this Eva vs Eva mentality and I thrive when I commit. I’m the only one who can defeat me or stop me from achieving what I have set out to accomplish.
