Meet hundreds of creatures from horses to hamsters at an action packed family fun day.
Al Tamimi Stables, in Sharjah, will open its doors on Friday, 7 February to celebrate its first birthday and the launch of its eagerly awaited riding school.
From touching and feeding rabbits to grooming ponies, visitors can gain hands-on experience of animal care. There’ll also be bouncy castles, magic shows and musical performances, plus face painting and eco-friendly arts and crafts sessions.
The stables, which offers a number of community courses throughout the year, will offer one-off workshops in areas such as drama, cookery, belly dancing and American freestyle dancing. There will also be raffle draws with exciting prizes up for grabs.
Families can sample tasty bites from the barbecue and choose from mouth-watering dishes, sweet treats and refreshing soft beverages served by staff from the Al Tamimi Stables café.
Children and adults alike will be able to spot an array of wildlife as they explore nature trails across the stables’ lush farmlands, which span 30 acres and are home to more than 500 species of animals and birds.
The Family Fun Day runs from 9am to 6pm. Tickets are priced at Dhs85 for adults and Dhs45 for youngsters aged three and over, with family passes available for two adults and three children for just Dhs25. Children aged under three will be admitted free.
