Emma Stone's Unexpected Spice Girls Name Inspiration
Having made it very apparent over the years that she is a massive Spice Girls fan, Emma Stone, our favourite red-head, has recently fessed up that her admiration for Baby Spice was so great, she changed her name to Emma.
Appearing on The Tonight Show, she told Jimmy Fallon, "Growing up, I was super blonde and my real name was Emily. I wanted to be called Emma because of Baby Spice, and guess what? Now I am."
"It wasn’t necessarily because of her, but yes, in second grade, did I go up to the teacher and ask her to call me Emma? Yes I did. And was it because of Emma Lee Bunton from the Spice Girls? Yes it was," she added, laughing.
The La La Land star has apparently seen the girl band twice in concert, 'fessing, "I saw them in concert in the '90s. I saw them at O2 Arena in 2008, and they recently announced a new tour and I will be going to that somehow... I don’t think tickets are on sale yet, but I’m gonna figure it out."
During the same show however, Jimmy Fallon made Emma take a Buzzfeed quiz to determine which Spice Girl she was – in a weird turn of events she got Posh.
Let's hope Emma got her tickets during the sales frenzy yesterday, then...
