Warning! Emirates is advising travellers to arrive early to the airport this Eid
The extended Eid Al Fitr holiday is almost here, and while you're packing your bags or getting ready to chill for the next few days, Emirates has sent a gentle warning about getting to the airport early to avoid super peak hours and road works around the area. The airline encourages travellers to reach the airport three hours before their scheduled flights.
It is expected that over 309,000 passengers will be flying from Emirates during the holiday period with 80,000 flying from Terminal 3 alone on Friday May 31. This massive number is expected to continue until Monday June 3 so, prepare yourselves.
You can physically check in at the airport as early as 24-hours before your flight and no later than two hours before departure.
Just FYI, travellers who check in less than 60 minutes before their flight departure time will not be allowed to get on the flight. To save yourselves all that hassle, you can check in online on your mobile phone or any other device you've got from 48 hours to 90 minutes before your scheduled flight.
Good luck out there!
