Emirates Airlines is promising to become more Eco-conscious
By the end of 2019, Emirates will aim to reduce its own plastic waste and reach out to more eco-friendly replacements. They are saying NO all plastic bags that are used for in-flight purchases, replacing them with paper versions as an initiative to become more eco-friendly. Also, the airline is phasing out the use of plastic straws, swizzle sticks and stirrers to replace them with better alternatives.
We are committed to reducing single-use plastic on board all our flights, starting with a ban on plastic straws. Watch the video to learn more about our ongoing long-term sustainability initiatives. #FlyEmiratesFlyBetter pic.twitter.com/49DRL0LeV3— Emirates Airline (@emirates) June 17, 2019
The airline has been recycling plastic bottles to make eco thread blankets. This means that each blanket is created from 28 recycled plastic bottles. Impressive.
Sustainability is the way to go!
