Ellie Goulding Speaks Exclusively to Ahlan! Ahead of her Dubai Music Week Gig
Golden Girl: Ellie is performing at Dubai Music Week

To say that we're excited to see Ellie Goulding would be a bit of an understatement.

The British star is easily one of the most entertaining acts today and her Dubai Music Week gig on Thursday 24 September looks set to be a belter.

Team Ahlan! caught up with the singer ahead of her gig and had a good old catch-up about her fitness regime, love life and performing for Prince William and Kate Middleton at their wedding.

Your music style is pretty varied. How would you describe your sound?
It is me. I constantly listen to and consume new and old music but my sound is not like anyone else's. I believe I am in my own lane with a variety of influences.

What's your favourite song from your own back collection?
Oh, I couldn't tell you that. It varies. Sometimes a particularly song will go down very well in a set and that then is my favourite, or I will hear one on the radio after not hearing it for a while and that will be my favourite. They're all special for different reasons.

You’re a fitness fanatic. What are your five tips to maintaining a healthy body and mind?
I do like to exercise. I wouldn't call myself a fanatic, but definitely feel better and more able to cope with life. Keep pushing yourself to the next level. You do always feel better after training.

Your body is in perfect shape but do you have any part of your body that you don’t like?
Lots, but I wouldn't be sharing.

What was it like singing at the Royal Wedding?
It was surreal. It was a beautiful day and I was honoured to be part of it.
