Eid Al Adha dates have been confirmed

The first day of Eid Al Adha will fall on September 24, according to reports.

The announcement was made after Saudi Arabia’s official moon-sighting body failed to detect the Zul Hijjah moon on Sunday. September 23 will be Arafat day, since Eid Al Adha comes one day after Muslim pilgrims stand on Mount Arafat in the outskirts of Makkah.

While the details of the public and private sector holidays haven’t been confirmed as yet, in previous years the private sector holiday usually begins on Arafat Day. This means that Wednesday, Thursday and Friday will most likely be the holidays this year.
