This morning, the UAE government declared that private sector will receive three days off for Eid al-Adha next week.

The private sector holiday will run from Monday, 20 August until Wednesday, 22 August to celebrate Eid al-Adha.

It was initially expected for the private sector holiday to run from Tuesday 21 August until Thursday 23 August, making it a five-day weekend, but it now seems that work will resume on Thursday 23 August.

Public sector employees have the whole week off, from Sunday 19 August until Thursday 23 August, meaning that they have nine days off in total, including the two weekends.
