Dubai Marina has a new spot to hang out and dine out with the opening of Helio Lounge. The menu is designed by famed Arab Chef Joe Barza and features revamped Egyptian classics plus lighter international dishes. A must-try item on the menu is an exciting adaption of ‘fiteer’ one of the most popular Egyptian dishes, baked fresh to order. They’re on the menu as ‘Helios’ (of course) and they come in bite-size pieces with a variety of tasty fillings, from a blend of beef and beans to a sweet versions stuffed with desiccated coconut and caramelised apple. Other regional faves include the ‘babghanoug’ which is a mix of grilled eggplant on a bed of sliced potato, mousaka, shish tawook and kofta. Wash down your meal with a choice of freshly squeezed juices, cocktails and milkshakes.
Post-food you can hang out on the outdoor terrace, overlooking Dubai Marina, and enjoy some top-quality shisha. Plus there’s a blend of Arab and Western tunes to keep the vibe going as well as live entertainment and karaoke nights.
