  • I’m proud to have been appointed Director of Abu Dhabi Art in 2016. Having spent the last decade working in the arts in London, Rome, Paris and Istanbul, it’s an absolute pleasure to be back on home ground for this exciting new position. I’ve already had the chance to connect with some fantastic curators and artists while conceiving a new direction for Abu Dhabi. I’m looking forward to supporting the far-sighted cultural vision of our leadership in 2017 through our new initiatives.

  • Abu Dhabi Art attracted over 20,000 visitors for our November event, which brought together around 40 of the world’s leading galleries with an ambitious artistic programme that includes talks, exhibitions and site-specific installations.

  • It’s truly inspiring to live within such close proximity to the futuristic Sheikh Zayed Bridge conceived by Zaha Hadid, the amazing Sheikh Zayed Mosque, which houses the world’s largest handmade carpet, and the beauty of the Louvre building designed by Jean Nouvel.

  • I’ve always been inspired by a poem by Cavafy called Ithaka, which is about the importance of enjoying and being enriched by life’s journey, rather than simply being intent on the destination.
