Dubai taxi drivers to get weekly day off

When it comes to road rage, taxi drivers are pretty high up on the list!

Put yourself in their shoes for a minute though, they work 12-15 hours a day, seven days a week. No weekends, no days off at all!

Dubai taxi drivers can breathe a sigh of relief now, as the Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC) has announced that they will now be entitled to one day off a week.

This weekly off system will cover DTC’s airport taxis, Hala taxis, limousine and regular taxis, reports Gulf News, it does not apply to private taxi corporations.

We're so glad this rule is being implemented, well-rested taxi drivers will result in safer roads for everyone!
