After two months on British reality TV show, Love Island, Scottish Dubai resident, Laura Anderson has officially come in second place.
In the final, Laura was coupled up with model and carpenter, Paul Knops. And the pair left the Love Island villa as an "unofficial" couple, but "excited" about their future.
The Dubai resident was in the final four along with winners, Dani Dyer (actual Danny Dyer's daughter, yes) and Jack Fincham - who walked away with a £50,000 (Dhs240,000) prize - and third and fourth place couples: Josh Denzel and Kaz Crossley, and Megan Barton Hanson and Wes Nelson.
Not The Easiest Ride
29-year-old, Laura certainly didn't have the easiest Love Island ride. She was dumped, publically, on the show by both fourth-place runner up, Wes Nelson, and day 53 evictee, Jack Fowler.
When quizzed about her time in the villa by host, Caroline Flack, Laura joked, "In life you need to go through some ups and downs, kiss a few frogs." She then, seemingly remembered that ex, Wes, was sat beside her on the finalists' sofa, and hastily added, "No offence, Wes! Anyway, moving on – that's just life!"
However, she now seems very happy with new man Paul.
Reflecting on her time in the villa, during the final Laura mused, "No matter what happens, I already feel like I've won just being in the final with the couples that I've got around me, the friends that I've got around me, and meeting Paul's just like the cherry on top of the cake."
Proud Of Her Dubai Life
The fact that Laura, who dated Dane Bowers before entering the villa, had been living in the UAE was regularly mentioned on the show.
During one of the final challenges, Laura and her man, Paul, put their relationship to the test, looking after a model baby.
When asked about the name that they chose, Arabella, Laura quipped, "Arab, because I lived in Dubai, and Bella means beautiful".
