Formerly known as 'Dubai-I', the world's largest observation wheel being built in Dubai will now be called Ain Dubai. Ayn is the sixteenth letter of Arabic alphabet and translated as eye.
Located near JBR on Bluewaters Island, a man-made archipelago to the south of Dubai, it will reportedly be the signature attraction among a host of new offerings, including other entertainment centers and hospitality offerings.
According to a report, once completed, Ain Dubai will be 40 metres long and 20 metres high.
To access the island, three multi-span bridges will cross the main road, each 11.4m wide and 500m long, while the main access road to the island itself will be 1.4km and 25m wide. It also includes a system to connect Bluewaters Island to the Metro system.
