Drew Barrymore Moves Ahead with Divorce from Will Kopelman
While it was common news that the two stars’ marriage was rocky, Drew Barrymore made it official by filing for a divorce in New York last Friday.
This will be Drew’s third divorce- she was married for mere weeks to Jeremy Thomas in 1994 and split from comedian Tom Green just months after they tied the knot in July 2001.
The pair are parents to two daughters: three year old Olive and two year old Frankie. The divorce has been marked as “uncontested” in court documents, meaning that there hopefully won’t be any bad blood between the two, who announced their split in April 2016.
They insisted that despite their marriage coming to an end, their family would remain intact and they would continue to protect the best interest of their children. In May 2016, Drew offered a rare insight into her emotional struggle on Chelsea Handler’s Netflix talk show.
"When you break up with somebody, you're like, 'Yeah, that didn't work,' (but) when you get divorced you're like, 'I'm the biggest failure. This is the biggest failure,'" she said.
"It's so shameful and hard to actually go through that, even privately."
The Charlie’s Angels star has done her part to retain healthy relationships by spending time with her children and loved ones.
