It’s the end of an era. Last week, the one and only Donna Karan gave her up her title of chief designer for Donna Karan International. A major shift for American fashion, the 66-year-old founder has defined the way the working woman has dressed for decades so it’s sad to know she’ll be leaving the helm of the house that bears her name. It’s not all bad news though – the mogul will remain as an adviser to the brand while devoting more time to her Urban Zen line.

An Instagram post from the company confirmed the news, saying: "After much thoughtful discussion and in partnership with Donna Karan International and LVMH, our visionary founder, Donna Karan, has made a personal decision to step down from her day-to-day responsibilities as Chief Designer for Donna Karan International."
