Starting a business is like a rollercoaster ride. It’s been a year of ups and downs. The learning curve is crucial to helping you grow as an entrepreneur.
Having a small set-up means multi-tasking. We do everything ourselves, from running the business, marketing and sales, logistics to managing our online store. Every work day is different.
Worry less, it all works out in the end.
I’ve worked during both my pregnancies; RIPE was founded during my first pregnancy and I had my second child as we moved Dubai’s Friday market to a larger site and expanded to Abu Dhabi.
I do yoga, running and cooking to relax. My New Year’s resolution is to start NYLA classes in addition to my twice weekly yoga sessions at The Surf House and jogging schedule.
Nowhere is a secret anymore. We have a number of fantastic holidays booked for 2015; South Africa, New Zealand, Australia, the UK and perhaps a mini-break to Sri Lanka. We’re making up for the family time we missed during a very busy 2014!
Knowledge is power. In hindsight I would have liked to pay more attention in school.
DC: I’m a techy and I like my iPhone apps. I use my phone to update social media for Army of 1, send out newsletters. I pretty muchhave an app for everything.
Going global is on our agenda for 2015.
