OMG Is this the Destiny's Child reunion we've been waiting for?
Everyone stay calm -or not- because there's a huge chance Destiny's Child will reunite in the near future.
According to The Sun, Beyonce is keen on the idea of reuniting with her former group, after seeing the success of Spice Girls, who recently went on their comeback tour.
The girl band enjoyed success from 1990 to 2006, and released massive hits like Say My Name and Independent Women.
Though fans already experienced a tiny reunion when Beyonce brought bandmates, Michelle Willam and Kelly Rowland at the Coachella music festival this year, it seems like she's not content with just that.
Apparently, Beyonce has been having secret conversations with Michelle and Kelly about a potential comeback, and the two are super on board with it.
The three women have been very busy with their individual careers, even after the band's break out. So, you can only imagine how difficult it is to match everyone's schedule for a reunion, especially Queen Bey's.
"Beyonce has been desperate to get the girls back together with her in the studio, and she can’t think of a better time than 2020, when they will be marking two decades as one of the world’s biggest all-female groups," an insider told The Sun.
The source added that it was the popularity of Spice Girls' recent reunion that prompted Beyonce to consider bringing her well-loved group back to the music-scene.
Unlike the Spice Girls -Emma Bunton, Mel B, Mel C, and Geri Horner- who opted to go on tour with their already released songs, Beyonce has apparently been talking to Michelle and Kelly about recording a new Destiny's Child tune.
The source said: "Beyonce has been meeting with Kelly and Michelle and discussing what they can do. "It’s early days, but they want to record new music and put it out alongside some of their biggest hits."
We can already tell how big of a hit that would be!
The three also would like to go on a tour, short enough for them to fit into their busy schedules, but big enough for their fans to be excited for.
"As well as going around the US they want to play dates in Europe, including the UK. They are one of the very few groups where love for them has only grown since they went on hiatus in 2006, so the demand is massive."
We. Are. Beyond. Excited.
