David Beckham in Dubai: All the Goss!
David Beckham used his recent trip to Dubai to crush rumours about his marriage to Victoria Beckham being under pressure. The former England football captain also made sure he took full advantage of his time away from the family to enjoy himself with the lads.
David, 40, was in the UAE to open the new Adidas store at Mall of the Emirates. Of course where ever Beckham goes, so do the crowds, but while a few thousand of his fans queued up to catch a glimpse of their idol, Team Ahlan! sent an insider to the event to get the inside scoop on what Becks is really like.

Victoria Comes First
According to reports, all is not well in the Beckham household, but you wouldn’t have guessed that from what our source said about David and his caring attitude towards his wife. “[David] grabbed a few quiet minutes in the Adidas store to pick out trainers and clobber for all the kids and for Victoria. He was so sweet about her and took extra-long trying to find her the right thing,” said our insider exclusively to Ahlan!. “Victoria will be treated to some Adidas x Stella McCartney gym gear, the boys got some classic Superstars and Harper has some jazzy leggings heading her way.”
Man of the People
Despite only being in Dubai for a few hours, we’re told that Becks was keen to speak to as many people as possible. Our insider said: “He took the time to meet fans that had been waiting outside the store for hours. He even posed for a picture with someone’s baby!” He may be retired, but Golden Balls likes to stay in shape and made sure he only sipped on orange juice and water throughout the day.
Nobu’s Safe for David
For dinner the stylish star headed to Nobu at The Atlantis for a low key meal joined by two of his friends. He was only supposed to be passing through for a few drinks but ended up staying there for almost three hours because the food was “so good”.
Thanks to the low lighting Becks managed to go unnoticed in the restaurant until he stood up to leave and then was mobbed by several selfie-hunters. That hasn’t dampened his love for Dubai though as David said: “The fan reaction is amazing here. I met so many lovely people. I’ve not been in Dubai for six years so it’s great to [have been] back. You can see how happy everyone seems. It’s amazing.”
