It all seemed like such a good idea at the time, but with the constant fear of kidnap threats and the kids missing the sunshine lifestyle in LA, have Victoria and David made a big mistake by moving back to London and putting football and fashion ahead of family?
Insiders have spilled to Radar, “Trading places with sunny California for snowy London has reportedly been quite the shock for Brooklyn, 13, Romeo, 10, and Cruz, 7, who are missing their friends and American lifestyle.” Oh no!
While a source close to the family added, “The boys are struggling with adapting to life back in the UK. They keep saying it’s so cold back home, and they miss the LA weather, as well as their favourite TV shows, their friends and even the fast food!”
And family Beckham’s troubles with adjusting to their new life in Blighty is made worse when Victoria’s sons Skype their friends back in the states and remember the freedom they had there as opposed to their isolated lives in the crime-ridden UK capital.
The boys, who once enjoyed life in the outdoors and acres of space to run around in, are now increasingly trapped indoors amid concerns that they could once again be the victims of kidnap attempts as eldest son Brooklyn was back in 1999 while he was just a baby. Mum Victoria was also targeted in 2002 when police foiled a plot to kidnap her and hold her for a Dhs30 million ransom!
Meanwhile, Victoria’s facing more ghosts from the past as David signs to play for Paris St Germain, meaning he will live in a hotel away from her and his family in London midweek, much as he was back in 2004 when he allegedly cheated on her with his PA, Rebecca Loos. The couple have never acknowledged the affair, but insiders fear history could repeat itself.
Fashion over family
But if Victoria is worried about David playing away, she’s not showing it. Posh, who pushed for the family’s move back to the UK to be near her Battersea design studio and further her fashion career, is focusing her attention on her career and kids, signing up 10-year-old Romeo as a Burberry model, despite fears that he’s too young. She spilled to Elle, “I want my kids to have a good work ethic. I believe you can achieve anything if you work hard enough to get it.” And that you can, Mrs B, but we’d be keeping a closer eye on that lovely husband of yours if we were you. You know what happens when he gets lonely in hotel rooms! Allegedly, of course.
