It seems like Daisy Ridley will take any chance she gets to work with the Star Wars cast!
The Star Wars: The Force Awakens star has signed on for Kolma, which is based on Keren Margalit's 2003 Israeli movie All I've Got.
Who will she be working with on Kolma, you ask? None other than famed producer JJ Abrams! Abrams has produced not only Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but other super films and TV shows such as Lost and Armageddon.
Diary of a Teenage Girl filmmaker Marielle Heller is in negotiations to direct the project, which will centre on a young couple involved in a car accident, while Abrams will produce.
It is unclear when the movie will start filming or whether she'll shoot around her Star Wars: Episode VIII schedule. Earlier this week, British royals Prince William and Prince Harry visited the set of the new Star Wars film in Pinewood Studios near London and they were given a tour around the prop and costume departments by Daisy, who plays Rey in the franchise.
In footage from the workshops, William was captured holding a cast of Daisy's head, stroking a prop head and watching a puppet master in action.
A tweet from Kensington Palace reads: "William and Prince Harry are travelling to a galaxy far, far way... The Duke & Prince Harry's visit @PinewoodStudios recognises the wealth of British creative talent involved in producing the @starwars films."
Filming on the movie began in February, and the new Star Wars film is set for release in December, 2017. Daisy is also expected to star in director Colin Trevorrow's Star Wars: Episode IX.
