Ocean’s 12 star, Catherine Zeta Joneshas revealed she’s “furious” that hubby Michael Douglas’s doctors failed to diagnose him with having a cancerous tumour until he reached stage four of the deadly disease.
The actress hit out at Oscar-winner Michael’s highly paid docs, calling the eventual diagnosis a relief because both she and her husband knew something was wrong.
“It makes me furious they didn’t detect it earlier,” she said. “He sought every option and nothing was found... It wasn’t a huge shock. I knew something was up. He knew something was up.” And 65-year-old Michael, who has said he blames years of drinking, smoking and living a stressful lifestyle, has revealed the chemotherapy will prevent him from publicising his new movie Wall Street 2.
“I know maybe I should be stronger, but emotionally I just don’t want to see that,” said Catherine about watching her husband of 10 years undergo treatment. “The hardest part is seeing his fatigue, because Michael is never tired... If there’s anything Michael has, it’s strength.”
