Peruvian cuisine was somewhat elusive on our shores before this restaurant made its mark. The recipient of several accolades on a global scale, including being named ‘London’s Restaurant of the Year’, Coya’s immense popularity in Dubai led to the opening of another outpost in Abu Dhabi earlier this year. In both locations, it’s packed, so we recommend booking in advance, even on a weeknight.
We’re completely in love with the vibrant décor. With its zesty Incan colours, bespoke furniture and antique South American artwork gives this sultry venue combines contemporary with a traditional, for a flavour of modern Peru.
Eat with abandon! The menu is a healthy collection of fresh and healthy options including ceviche grilled prawn skewers and sea bass spring rolls, so there’s no need to be a diet bore!
The corn sundae dessert is unusual but it works. The creamy sweetcorn ice cream is like velvet on the palate, and the addition of a more dessert friendly element of salted popcorn adds a satisfying crunch.
Relax in the lounge. After your meal, it would be a crime not to venture into this elegant setting for an intimate conversation. Its ambience is an intriguing contrast to the restaurant, with subdued lighting that makes it sleek and seductive, perfect for a nightcap.
