Coronavirus UAE: Beaches are still open in Dubai
Here is what you should know
Editor's note: As of March 21, all public and private beaches in Dubai have been closed.
At the moment, both public and private beaches in Dubai remain open and accessible to the public.
However, many leisure attractions, including public parks, gyms and entertainment venues across the UAE faced temporary closures this week as a precaution against the spread of coronavirus.
On the contrary, the emirates of Fujairah and Abu Dhabi announced the closure of their public beaches until the end of the month.
Dubai Municipality have installed warning signs on Dubai's Sunrise beach, urging beachgoers to keep a safe distance from one another and not to go to the beach in groups larger than ten people.
Kite Beach announced on social media yesterday what preventive measures are being taken:
"Nothing is more important to us than the well-being of our guests and staff. For that reason and following the latest directives from the relevant government authorities, Wire World Adventure Parks, Bixi Inflatable & Kids Car Rental, @splashnpartydxb, the Volleyball Courts @esperiavolley and the Trampoline have been closed until March 31st."
