Another 41 people have been confirmed to have COVID-19 in the UAE, it has been announced this afternoon.
Spokesperson for UAE's health sector, Dr Farida Al Hosani said at a press conference that one case had gone on to infect 36 other people.
This takes the total number of cases up to 611, two of which remain in intensive care, with two more deaths and three more recoveries.
The two fatalities were patients with pre-existing conditions - one 48-year-old Arab man and a 42-year-old Asian national.
The UAE has confirmed it will be opening additional drive-through testing centres to screen more potential cases.
