American rapper and actor Bow Wow has been forced to cancel his planned appearance at People by Crystal this Thursday.
The star had been set to join major music names including Craig David, Steve Aoki, Kid Ink and Sander Van Doorn by performing at the popular club in hotel Raffles Dubai.
Born Shad Gregory Moss, the 27-year-old’s potential was recognised at the tender age of 11 by world-famous rapper Snoop Dogg.
Bow Wow debuted his album Beware of Dog in 2000 under the stage name Lil’ Bow Wow. It featured the chart topper Bow Wow (That’s my Name) and was followed, a year later, by Doggy Bag.
In 2003, he released his third album, Unleashed, his first in which he adopted his current, more grown-up moniker.
Over the years, Bow Wow’s released a number of hits and has extended his hand into the film industry. He made his first TV appearance in 2002 as a cameo in All About the Benjamins alongside rap legend Ice Cube, then made his cinema debut in basketball comedy Like Mike. He’s since appeared in Johnson Family Vacation in 2004 alongside Solange Knowles and Vanessa Williams, and in 2005’s Seventies-set roller-skating comedy Roll Bounce, as well as played a supporting role in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift the following year. Bow Wow also appeared in five episodes of the hit TV show Entourage.
