Colourful tribute to Madonna

JUSTIN TIMBERLAKEinducted MADONNAinto the Singer marks entry to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with a curse-laden speech on Monday night with a saucy speech that dubbed her a control freak and revealed how the Material Girl once injected him in the backside.

The singer also called his troubled ex-girlfriend Britney Spearsa Madonna "wannabe" in his cheeky monologue at the ceremony at New York's Waldorf Hotel.

After silencing whooping fans, by shouting, "Shut up, it's not about me tonight," Timberlake - who produced Madonna's latest album Hard Candy - said, "People always ask if she is the control freak people say she is. Hell yeah.

"She's a woman on top and I'm sure she is enjoying that position.

"Nobody has got into the rock and roll of fame when they're looking this damn fine."

Before welcoming the superstar to the stage, Timberlake found time to poke fun at Britney Spears, cheekily joking: "There have been a lot of wannabes, I may have even dated a couple of them.

"She has also kissed someone I may or may not have kissed myself. Of course you know I'm talking about Sean Penn."

MADONNA herself delivered a curse-laden acceptance speech. After scolding Justin Timberlake for his innuendo-laden introduction, by warning, "I'll get you f**r," Madonna went on to pay tribute to the artists who have helped her during her career.

She said, "What's a record without the music. That's right mother f****s.

What's a record without Timbaland, Stuart Price... Pharrell Williams and Justin Timberlake."

Rocker Iggy Pop followed Madonna onstage, to serenade the Queen of Pop with a bizarre bare-chested rendition of her songs Burning Up and Ray of Light.

Meanwhile, LIKE A PRAYER emerged as the fans' favourite MADONNA song on the day the MATERIAL GIRL was inducted into the Rock Roll Hall Of Fame.

The 1984 hit beat Ray Of Light, Into The Groove, Vogue and Live To Tell in a weekend (08/09 March ‘08) online vote at RollingStone.com.
