Claudia Schiffer the Business Model
Looks like the newest celebrity to start up her own clothing line is none other than ex-super model and super stylish school-run dresser Claudia Schiffer. Since coming out of hiding following the January Jones revelations, the German beauty made her modest debut during Paris Haute Couture week after doubling up with fellow native designer Iris Von Arnim in a much-anticipated collection.
The mother-of-three has spoken before about her passion to create her own collection, however she stressed that she would only design something she felt comfortable wearing herself. “They would need to be clothes that I would want to wear.” Seeing as the collection was partly based on her own wardrobe as a working mum it looks like Claudia has done just that, though she was adamant that the label won’t be a passing fad. Claudia explains, “I don’t want this to be a celebrity line. It is meant to be a lasting business not a quick celebrity licensing line”
Schiffer’s collection included long tube dresses in black and navy blue, grey oversized cardigans and cable-knit sweaters costing from Dhs1,300 to Dhs2,600.
